Publicity is always good... right?
We have many articals that appear in newspapers... and they are special to us. So we want to share them with you.
My first real artical was in the ElectricConsumer magazine, which comes out every month to ElectricConsumer customers. It was about how I won the Art contest, and what I was going to do with the money. (To see the original artwork, click on the ElectricConsumer link above) After that original start-on, we have had lots of interviews about the project. The most recent one,again, came out of the ElectricConsumer magazine. The editor came out, all the way from Indianapolis, to Warsaw, to take pictures and to write. The first step/stop in the interviewing process was to take pictures. Richard, (the editor) my mom, and I, went into Mrs. Maile's third grade class at Harrison Elementary to do a PEELING CONTEST. (to help us, of course) At first, all the kids did was peel crayons according to the colors that they wore. Then, the real contest began. I seperated the kids according to, this time, what number I gave them. And then we had 10 minutes to peel as many crayons as they could. The winning group got to take one Africrans crayon home. We all had A LOT of fun! Then we took Richard to our house, where he interviewed us, and took some more pictures.
This interview was special... because we involved more kids in the community.
